Income requirement for QRP status

Post new topic

scottmurt

Was wondering if anyone here went through the process of getting QRP status and knew how strict immigration is on income requirements.  I know you have to show that you have at least 2K per month in income.  On the government website the guidelines seem quite strict on where this money comes from.  I can show I have that much monthly but it is in residuals from a sales job I was working.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have a friend who that she had all her ducks in a row. Far into the process, they denied her QRP application, because her money was from her retirement savings accounts, but NOT from a steady, guaranteed pension plan check.
It seems that they may have changed the rules, or just have decided to go by the way the rules were actually written. No more "just deposit 24K here every year."
