EPass Applied - Pending

Post new topic

padmanabhan

Hi All,

I am an Indian and new to this forum.  I got the Job offer in Singapore in Reputed Bank and my company applied EP for me on Feb 27th.  I quit my current job.  I am bit worried about the EP approval.  I tried SAT and it shows that I am eligible for EP.  I have 7 years of IT experience and the proposed salary is 7k SGD,

Is there any chance they will reject the EP without any reason ? Just wanted to ask.  This is my first time in Singapore.

Hi Padmnabhan,

Normally EP approvals take 3-4 weeks in Singapore, ideally, you should not have left your existing job till you Get EP. AS EP may get rejected some times. Wishing you good luck.

There are many potential reasons for EP rejection. Some are outside of your sphere of influence: Is the employer allowed to hire foreigners, do they already have to many foreign employees, are there suitable (similarly skilled) locals available on the job market, did the employer follow proper procedure (incl. posting on the jobs bank for two weeks), can vetting agencies verify your credentials, ...?
It is better to resign only when the EP is approved (and IPA is issued).

Thank you so much for the reply friends.  I quit the Job because my recruited wants me to join as soon as possible once the EP got approved. SO I quit the job earlier. Lets hope for the best.

Hi, all i need some advice its my first time to work in singapore, previously on student pass(2013-2015) after that I back to home country. Now I applied for Epass by Agent on Feb 28 2018 until now its pending but lastly on Mar 7 they ask for some document called consent form titled as “use this form to give us consent to verify your information “ MOM downloaded by Agent., until now it’s again pending.., please tell me my chances for getting Epass
Thanks

If MoM asked for additional information that means they are checking each documents before giving any verdict. Hope, the result will be in favour of you. Good luck

How to know, whether my application is submitted as online or offline...,It's almost 24days now..., it shows pending as status

surya2k

The application was submitted that’s why it’s appearing as “pending”.

Or else how a system will show pending if there was no application submitted?

Tysonamb

Yeah sir., I know my application submitted.,,

There are two ways to submit our EP application-manual or online.., how to find whether my application is submitted through manual or online

beppi

You can ask your employer. The MoM system won't tell you.

Tysonamb

Got to know that my application was submitted through online.
Day before yesterday 21/03, MOM ask additional documents as financial statements levy slip from company, and they have submitted it on that day itself., so that in case, should I be worried? it affects my application appproval

surya2k

There shouldn’t be any impact on your application, if MoM asks any additional documents. MoM will go through each documents and will access its authenticity before it will roll out the result. Good luck

Got Approval today!!!!
