There is nothing called easily here. Every things comes with experiences and value addition to the society. You can apply after a year or so but chances are only get prospects after staying at least 3 years or so with a stable job at higher salary and specific skill set which is in demand, contribution towards society, if you have family then does your wife works, if you have sons then additional points.

Last not the least, your origin, a Chinese Malaysian from Malaysia is the highest successor in this PR allocation, then Malay then Indian Malaysian. If you are not from Malaysia then chances drops significantly.

But govt always try to maintain the ratio balance here that means from overall population, around 74% should be from Chinese ethnicity, 12 to 13% from Malay background, around 9% from Indian origin, rest can be distributed accordingly.

There are no clear and published criteria for who is or isn't accepted as PR.
Generally, the meritocratic Singapore authorities will review whether you could contribute positively to the Singapore society. This could be financially (if you invest millions in Singapore companies to create employment and economic value), by skills (if you are experienced in a shortage profession), socially (if you are of the desired race, or married to a Singaporean) or other reasons (word-class athletes and Nobel price winners are a shoo-in).
In most cases, you need to have a recognised university degree and a well-paid job in Singapore for at least three years to have a chance. It also helps if you have children - especially boys, who then have to serve in Singapore's army.
