Pattaya visa runs to Laos

Hello to All,
when you enter Thailand by default you get a 30 day tourist visa ok.
If I want to stay an extra month can I just go to Laos for 1 night then come back for another 30 days?
And can I keep doing this? or is the maximum 3 months 2 times run to Laos?
