Entering into Bahrain by causeway

Post new topic

Hi,

I am an Indian national, residing in Al Khobar on Business visit visa with multiple entry permit. My Saudi driving license was expired in April 18. But, I have valid Indian (not international) driving license. Am I permitted to go to Bahrain by causeway? I am sure by multiple entry Saudi immigration will not object. But, I would like to know the regulation at Bahrain immigration. I would like to go for a day or 2 maximum.

If permitted, can I rent a car in Saudi? or can I travel with any one in their car?

Regards,
Sathiya

If you don't have a Saudi Iqama, you will NOT get visa on arrival in Bahrain.  Business visit visa does not allow for that.  You have to apply for evisa and travel via air - it doesn't allow entry via causeway.

Your driving licence doesn't matter as they don't check those on the causeway.  However, you won't be allowed to rent a car without an international driving licence as far as I know.   You can travel with anyone in their car if you have valid visas to enter Bahrain via causeway.

Thanks X Tang
