E Pass, SPass approval

Post new topic

Reesen_sg

Hello guys,

I have been working with Employer A for the past 2 years under employment pass(EP has validity until November 5 2018). 2 weeks before hr from Employer A started renewal process for my ep and dependent pass. Both the sPass(my EP downgraded to sPass) and dependent pass approved for next 2 years(until 2020), hr shared me the IPA letter for both.

Meanwhile, i got a job offer from Employer B last week. Hr from Employer B cannot apply pass for me, as the current pending sPass is not issued. When I check with my current employer A hr, the earliest day she can issue the sPass is 29th October. Later only Employer B can apply for the new pass.

But Employer B recommending me to resign the job by this week due to the cretical timeline. So that my current employer will cancel the spass, later employer B can apply new pass.

What are the risk associated if i resign the job before pass approval?

Is it recommended one ?

The risk is, of course, that you employer B won't get your pass approved. Then you end up having no job and might have to leave Singapore.
You decide which risks you take, and which ones not!
