Moving to KLCC

Post new topic

Hi all! My family and I will be moving to the KLCC area from the USA in January. I have never lived abroad so I have so many questions I'm hoping you can help with. The most important topic is moving with a young child. We have a 1 year old, and we'll be leaving her playgroups and what not behind. Are there any mom groups and playgroups around the KLCC area that I can put her in? I want to make sure there are plenty of things for us to do and people to meet for her.

You may struggle to find playgroups and mom/baby groups in KLCC but living in condominiums is where people often get to connect. Families tend to live in areas close to the international schools such as Mont Kiara and around Ukay/Beverly Heights. Bangsar also is a popular area for families as well as Desa Park City.

It might be an idea to join the Women's groups to meet other mothers https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=346640 The groups are open to all nationalities.

The British Women's group is active and they have their clubhouse in Bangsar

Most everything is found through using Facebook in Malaysia as its the hub for information sharing. There are quite a lot of expat groups such as Expats - Malaysia and Expats World Kuala Lumpur, Expat Women Malaysia etc.
