Hi. I need some advice regarding visas for my partner who comes from the Philippines.  We plan to stay in SR till June then go to my home country the UK.  To do that he will need to have had a job in Cambodia for at least 2 months. We are going to Bangkok at the w
End of the month. Should he ask for a looking for work visa and then change it for a working visa once he has found a job? Another requirement is that he has a Cambodian bank account.  My bank ABA won't give him a bank account with out having a minimum of a 6 months visa of any kind.  Any advice would be helpful.

Hello John.

Yes a general visa extension would be the way, it's a 6 months multiple entry extension.

Don't forget to enter on a Ordinary visa, don't use the visa waiver for Asean countries as you cannot extend it for an EG. So first month Ordinary visa, in that time extend for a EG visa extension for 6 months, no docs required.

Cheers.

Hi Joe, thanks for your help and knowledge.  Can we get the ordinary visa via the airport when we return from Bangkok or do we need to get it from a border crossing?
