This is a question from my daughter who is less than a month away from completing her Peace Corps service in Cameroon, African) and was just offered a professional job in France (I am asking because she has very limited internet & phone access).

My daughter is confused about the Certificate of non-conviction (- extrait de casier judiciaire). Will the document that she can get from her African country (where she was a PC volunteer for the last two years) be enough or does she need something from the US, too?

I am really hoping that someone can help, as she really would like to accept the job in France (and does not have either the time or the money to return to the US first). Thank you very much.

Your daughter will need the certificate from her home country. Also get one from the African country as well.

Thank you. Since my daughter does not have access to the internet, or reliable phone service, I have been assisting her. Getting a French work visa is so complicated. I have spent several hours a day, over many days, trying to figure out the process and still do not have very many answers.
