Healthcare/Insurance Plan

Post new topic

sdleyte

Hi guys, I'm considering moving to Leyte for long term.

Can anyone tell me where can I purchase a healthcare or insurance plan in Leyte? Coverage should include hospitalisation, clinical, surgical, specialist visits.

Thanks for reading. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Self insurance is the only way to go, as a non-resident/non-citizen in the Philippines

HI SDleyte

CIGNA would be fine but expect the cost to be at least 5000  which will cover you in all countries but the US (full disclosure- I currently have CIGNA).

At the very least I believe even non-citizens can sign up for Philhealth which, while it is very basic insurance, will cover at least a little of any medical expenses.

There are also several private medical insurance plans available.

Good luck
