Resident permit in Belgium

Post new topic

Hi,

I am moving to Brussels in last week of January 2019 and will have to search accommodation . My work location is 1000 Brussels but I came to know that it takes 3-4 months to get Resident Permit from this commune. I want to know which commune is fastest in issuing Resident Permit so I can search an accommodation there. Also if you can let me know the approx time (fastest one) to get the RP from that commune.

Thanks.

Average processing time is 1-2 months, with the exception of very busy communes like 1000 Brussels, 1030 Schaerbeek, etc. You may pick any other Brussels communes based on reachability to your work and other amenities you care about. Woluwe St Lambert, St Pierre, Etterbeek, the list goes on :)
