Hi Everone.
This amazing river is on my bucket list.
Did anyone visit the place and can share their experience/recommendations?
Thanks!

Yep a few years algo

Have to take a cessna or is DC 5 flight from Villavicencio  to get there

Then stay for 2 days and hire a local guide for day tours.

The coloured rivers are  tributraries  of the main river. You have to take a boat down the main river to get to them.

Check with a tourist agency when is best time to go as during the rainy Season the water is too high to see the coloured algae.

Thanks Quechimba !

hi eldorado 18
You might try getting some info on the red algae in rivers near San Jose del Guaviare in Amazonas. Apparently they are as nice and more accessible. That's on my bucket list....and the pink dolphins.

Thanks!
I Will check it out.
Pink dolphins  are visible in Colombia too, in Leticia, Amazonas

I traveled 2 years ago by Santena Bogota- la macarena 400,000 pesos. It is very easy that way.  You can walk to any hotel there (it is very cheap), and take a tour in the same hotel 200,000 pesos all day. It is beautiful!!
