Hi,
I have a question about letters on the names such as ø,æ and å. In my country they will only right o instead of ø. If on the marriage contract, the name didn't have ø but have on the persons passport would that be considered the same or will it generate problem in the embassy and immigration?

For exapmle if the name of the husband is Bjørnar Nymann in his passport but on his marriage certificate was only Bjornar Nymann since they married in the Philippines, would that be a problem in the future application?

I hope someone here can give me a nice answer. Thanks and have anice day to all! :)

Hei Casseyissay,
There are coresponding letters for the æ, å and ø so that the norwegians understand and is accepted by english alphabet users.
Æ -  ae
Å. - aa
Ø - oe
That i learned in school :) Now if only O is used, norwegians might think its just the regular o sound.
Regards,
Joanne
