Consent to verify information MOM

Hello Forum members

My company has applied for my EP last week (6 days before to be precise).Today I have received a mail from my HR to fill a declaration from MOM to give my consent to verify my information .they are unwilling to share any further details like my FIN number or status . So I want to know is it good thing or a concern of worry situation to get a form after 1 week to give consent to verify my information to MoM.

For the purpose of assessing my application/renewal or administration of work pass matters, I consent:
For the Government of Singapore and its statutory authorities to obtain from and verify my information, such as educational qualifications, employment history or any other personal details, with any person, organisation or source.
To the release of all information obtained to the Government of Singapore, its statutory authorities and authorised agents.
