How to get a driving license in China easily? I have it of my country

Post new topic

Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well.
I'm Caitlin new in Shenzhen, China.
I have a driving license from my country Ireland but now I am considering getting one in China.
I set up my business here and it would be much more convenient and efficient if I could drive around.
I don’t really want to get one in those agents because you don’t know if there will be any problem in the future.
Plus, I would rather actually gain some knowledge of the traffic regulations in China just in case.
So would anyone give some advice on what to do and how to get it done easily?

Hi Caitlin,
I am Adam.
I have been in Guangzhou for 5 years now and I got my driving license in China 3 years ago.

If you know someone who can speak both Chinese and English and he/she would like to help then it would be not complicated. But if you don’t know anyone who could help then probably the agent is a better choice.

Luckily a friend from here helped me sort out things when I applied for it. And I bought the test questions bank from a woman who can speak English. She is very friendly and helpful and provided me quite a lot of useful information. I spent a few days to review the questions and passed the test and got the license the same day I took the test.
I still have the woman in my contact and I just asked her about the updates. And she told me some regulations updated and gave me the link of the questions bank and the law & regulations of China on traffic road safety in English as you want to know the regulations also.

It seems they have agent service also now.
So if you have questions, you can ask her by clicking the bottom left icon of the link above.

Hope this answer will help.

Thank you, Adam, for your informative answer but I can't see the links.

So how can I contact her?
