Thanks for the reply. i have below question.
1. I am wondering does owning a property will help in the process of getting LTVP?
2. when the ask about monthly income they are refering to the all of my total income that I have right? like salary + Rental Income + other income?
3. If rejected I as a PR can use MP letter to appeal?

Thank you

1. Not necessarily, in past I have seen in this forum where Singaporean’s spouses were denied LTVP because of lower income.
2. Monthly income is based on gross income comes from your salary or business and any other sources. Yes, you can include rental income as part of your income but EMI attached to the property will mark as fixed expenses. So, basically your salary which is a fixed income would be treated as only source of income (unless you declared otherwise). Your salary is at lower side to apply LTVP for your spouse.

For foreigners, those are with work pass holders need to have fixed income $6k to get eligible to apply DP for their spouse. Then, how ICA would give LTVP to someone’s spouse whose fixed salary is $2500?

3. MP letter doesn’t have much value, if you don’t meet basic criteria. Few ICA officers take it as negative and may consider that you are trying to influence their selection process.

As I said, there is nothing wrong to give a try. We never know sometime time plays a crucial role. Please share the results once it’s approved or not, it will help others in this forum. Good luck

Even if rental income is counted (which I doubt), they will certainly see that you and your wife would have to live somewhere - so you either stay in your own property (thus no more rental income) or you pay rent elsewhere (thus the rental income is also gone again).
And even with rental income, you do still have far less than the required S$6000/month.
MPs, as elected officials, usually only help those who can vote and thus whom they represent.

Hi,

Ok thanks, I know I can only try and as time pass by the chances is increasing may be due to stable income or higher salary from job offer.
I can only hope for the good luck, and ICA approval sometimes is unpredictable. I will update the outcome later once there is any news.

Thanks

Hi Beppy
I am and my wife still living the same home, only other rooms are rented and we still have 1 master room for us to stay. So the rental is the one I collected from another 2 rooms.
Does the requirement of LTVP of spouse PR is different from Spouse of Singaporean?
I saw some singaporean with same income as me managed to get LTVP for their spouse.

Thanks
