Hi guys :)

I'm a kindergarten and primary school teacher with a master degree on those fields. Unfortunatly because of the situation of my country I never worked in the field so the only experience that I have are the internships. I know I need to have an high level of danish and I'm totally fine with it.

I would like to know what salary can I expect as a kindergarten teacher or a primary teacher in the denmark and if I would be able to have a confortable life (living not surviving).

Thank you very much :)

In Denmark, school teachers and kindergarten teachers aren't academic educated as such. They get a special education targeting their future jobs. Even if you are highly skilled, you shall not count on your master degree will open doors to a job within the fields.

Only the kindergartens employ unskilled labour. And it is badly paid!

A high level of Danish is a must as a school teacher, but I suggest that in praxis, it is the same for a kindergarten teacher.

You can get an idea of the pay for skilled school teachers and kindergarten teachers here:

This information doesn't cover school teachers, nor kindergarten teachers. I guess that the information is based on the pay which associate professors and professors at universities can take home. Even so, I find it quite high.

In general, school teachers and kindergarten teachers are always used as examples when house prices are increasing etc. because it's a group who cannot afford to live in certain areas.
