1. La tour Eiffel, L'arc de triomphe, le Louvre (could include Palace de Versailles)
2. La Marsellaise
3. Napoloen Bonaparte, Charles de Gaulle
4. Also known as Bastille day, on 14th July
5. The French revolution, Liberation from Nazi Germany's occupation

1. Name 3 iconic monuments/structures in France
- Mont Saint-Michel
- Grottes de Lascaux
- Hospices de Beaune


2. What is the name of the national anthem? When and by whom was it created?
- La Marseillaise written by Rouget de Lisle in 1792.
- But there is also another song in the heart of a lot of French of a certain age. It is the "Chant des partisans" written by Anna Marly in 1943.


3. Name 2 eminent national historical figures
- Louis Pasteur
- Abbé Pierre


4. When is the national day celebrated in France?
- 14 July

5. Which are the most important turning points in the French history?
- Foundation by Richelieu of the French Academy in 1635
- Pasteur's creation of the principle of methodical vaccination.
- Election of Nicolas Sarkozy then François Hollande and finally Emmanuel Macron. Since those blessed days, the French have so many problems that they never created new jokes about the Belgians ...
