Hi I have been offered a place in Bahrain so for that i followed complete procedure , I reach there and unfortunately i met with some uneven events at home and medical reasons , So i need to get back to my home , at that time the employer ask me ok you can go on your own and after reaching home you would decide either you can get back or not , I get back to home with my own ticket and accommodation, Now i already sent them an email that give me few days to take the decision i will let you know but they send me termination letter , and asking me to reimburse the entire payment like
VISA FEE
TICKET FEE
3 night Accommodation Fee
-------
As i did not get anything from them and i came there but unfortunately i need to get back and i was waiting to decide either to go or not but they took their decision and send me termination now they are asking to re-imburse the payment .

It is not clear what the details are.

1) Did you go to Bahrain on a work visa?
2) Did you do medical and get the residence visa stamped in your passport?

In any case, as per labor law, the employers are not allowed to recover recruitment costs from the employee.

I went there on work visa from employer and they are asking to reimburse the charges they spent on me.

XTang

Again, you didnt give full details.  See point number 2 above.

Did you do medical and get the residence visa stamped in your passport?
I did normal medical which is required for work visa , on my stamp there is a sticker having National ID number as well , i am not sure it is resident visa or just work visa?

XTang

Both are same.

In any case, you don't have to pay them anything.  But the problem is that you left without resigning and getting your visa cancelled. That way they can repot you as absconding and stop you from ever coming to Bahrain again.

Resign in writing and save that evidence.  Don't pay anything.

From where i can check my visa status https://lmra.bh/portal/en/express_servi … ervice_tab but it shows no record found Error! The requested record does not exist in the system!

Just pick up the phone and tell your employer in Bahrain what has happened and why. And inform them as well that you are not going to pay them back the costs spend on your Visa, ticket, etc. Be honest.

Are you likely to get visa for Bahrain from other company again? Probably yes, maybe not. But that’s the price you pay for absconding for stamped visa on your passport at this point. You annoyed everybody at having to go through the medical test and work visa stickered (stamped) on your passport just to abscond at the end. You’ll stay where you are and hope you’ll get issued another Bahrain Visa . Life goes on.

One common situation when this message appears is when the employee visa has been cancelled and he has left the country.  They could have cancelled normally or through an absconding complaint - only way to know is to ask them.

And if an absconding case has been filed and registered in the LMRA system, forget about getting any visa to Bahrain until that is removed.

is there any way to check either it is normal cancelled or absconding complaint?

XTang

Call LMRA - they may tell you over the phone.
