Moving to Norway

Hi everyone,

My name is Alex, my family and I have made the decision to relocate to Norway from the UK and I'm finding it hard to get information anywhere regarding the specific industry I want to work in and what location is best.

I am currently a Biomedical field service engineer with 5 years experience, I have a HNC in electrical and electronic engineering. I don't currently speak Norwegian however I am planning on starting very soon as it will probably be a year or two years or so before I actually move.

I can't seem to find any jobs advertised within this area (I'm looking at jobs now to gauge how much potential earnings I will have and where the locations are) but I am not really getting anywhere! Does anybody have any information regarding this specific area or know any useful websites. My current company doesn't operate out of Norway so an internal move isn't possible!

The reason I am starting to look now is to give my family and I time to prepare to move to ensure we get off on the right foot and thrive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Norwegians really like Finn & LinkedIn for job postings so I would try both of those. I'd also guess that's a good field to be in if you don't speak English since it is probably a very international employer/employee base.
