Western Canadian with Portuguese Roots

Hey every one! My name is Jose Eusebio and I moved from a small town in British Columbia, Canada this past November to try and start a new life here in the Western Algarve. My parents have a beautiful home in the Loule area that I am taking care of and living in at the moment. I had hopes of starting a tourist related business when I first arrived here but was thrown off track by the recent lock down events unfortunately. Now I am trying to make some new connections and see what might be possible here in the future with this new reality? I could also use some work right now to help get me back on track and would be open to trying something new and interesting out there. I speak english fluently of course and my Portuguese is actually not that bad thanks to my parents always speaking it with me. My back ground is in the mining industry and heavy equipment operating in the past decade but I have also excelled in dealing with the public working in retail as well as a variety of physical labour work. Any help or leads would be appreciated regarding any potential work opportunities out there and I also look forward to connecting to my fellow expats on here to help them where I can. There is also a possibility that I may offer a room for rent in the future to the right person, so dont be shy to ask me about that if you are looking to live close to the Loule area.
