Hello,

I am currently in India. I got job in Belgium so my employer applied for single permit. I recieved annex 46 on 6th April, However Visa offices are shut in India so not yet able to get the Visa and travel to Belgium and start working.
My employment with last organization ended on 31st March so I have been now waiting for around 2.5 months for Visa offices to open.
Does anyone have any idea when VFS offices are going to open in India?
There have been repatriation flights operated from India but until I get Visa I won't be able to fly.

Regards

All non essential trips to and from Belgium remains prohibited. From 15 June, the borders will open for travel to and from the European Union, including the United Kingdom and the four other Schengen countries (Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway). However, it will be up to each country to decide whether or not to open its borders. Consult the travel advice for each country to find out the situation in the country of your destination.

Travelling outside Europe is not possible for the time being.

Your case is completely different, you must try to contact your Consulate to get the VISA.
This won`t be easy, but the Borders opened today in EU only for internal travel, and still limited. And there will be a list of "blocked" countries which can last until September.

Hello,

I was wondering if you managed to get the visa?

I am in the same situation.

Thanks for your update.

Visa D are currently issued in case of:
Highly qualified third-country workers if their employment is necessary from an economic perspective and the work cannot be postponed or performed abroad.

Correct, but in India all visa applications are handled by VFS (they act as intermediary b/w applicant and consulate).

I see that VFS operations are now partially resumed.
