Online Ordering

Post new topic

Enzyte Bob

Recently I ordered 29 items from Hanes.com ( for me, my two sons & daughter-in-law) $244 USD including shipping to Fil.

They accepted my credit card payment and then reverted payment back to my credit card account and cancelled the order,

The reason why, they don't ship to the Philippines.

But if I lived in Algeria, Azerbaijan, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mongolia or even Yemen they would ship to me. ( Plus 172 other countries).

I won't comment further on why, but you get the idea.

Remember back in 2013-2014 all my on-line orders were fm 'ebay'...they did not have any COD options/paid via paypal then.
Many an item went missing + If the item ever did turn up at my doorstep the delivery guy insisted on a 100p delivery fee.
No such problem with Shopee/Lazada.

Coming back to PAYPAL its been a real life safer for me.
Especially now that my sg mobile phone/SIM became 'toast' here & was unable to get those 2FA sms verifications & had no way of rectifying it.

What I'm going to do with Hanes.com, I'm going to re-order and have them ship to my
re-mailer. Items from my emailer will be FedEX'd to me.

As far as Lazada, recently I placed four orders, two never arrived and one misrepresented the product.

Unrelated how many times after making a post, you had to go back and edit it? Happens to me all the time. The original of this post had bad formatting.

@bob, I just buy my briefs and boxers from Mark & Spencer, their autograph stuff is pretty good  :D

I had the funnest experience with this also. I am usually able to buy/ship stuff to my HK address 99% of the time, even if it's direct from a "mom & pop" store in the states.

Amazon will ship anywhere I think, probably even Antarctica if you have a reachable address.

However a lot of these stores refuse to send to Philippines, I don't know why.  Last I checked they had serious problems with postal services, DHL and FedEx is unaffected.

Last thing I tried to order and they dont ship to PH was a set of iFixit tools, they are from Canada I think,  ended up getting something from Oria @ Lazada instead. Found some reseller here but price was 200% more or higher.

Before that I tried to order monitor stands, I didn't find one that suit my need here in PH so I checked some "mom and pops" and they happily ship to HK but not PH, the ones I saw in PH, some was local made stuff I think, some imports and price was jacked up by 200%. One store I frequent many times over the past 10+ years told me they don't ship to PH due to high theft rate of packages and it eats into their cost, tho they were willing to send it to me if I agree that if the package get stolen, they won't be held liable - understandable, I had it shipped to HK  .

depending on what you are buying and if warranty is a important factor, I suggest you just bite the cost and order it here, sending it back to US or wherever it came from will cost you more. The rest of stuff can be purchased overseas,  :) books especially.
