Relocating to the Philippines

Dear all

Would welcome your feedback and advice as we make our final move back to the Philippines.

As we all know now is a challenging time for everyone around the world, but my wife and I have now decided to return to the Philippine in the coming months.

We have to have COVID tests before we can even get on a flight and then our concerns are whether my wife (OFW) and myself will be able to quarentine together - we also know we have to have a test at the Airport and register with the Philippines Red Cross before we arrive. My visa was well handled by the Philippines embassy in the UK as I am the spouse of a Philippines resident so fingers crossed that should be sorted?

We then have to get from the airport / quareentine hotel to Cavite and want to hire a car - does anyone know ho9w we can do this?

Thanks again in anticipation of the groups wisdom and experience.

Visa - OFW?
"Families traveling together with at least one OFW will be considered all OFWs."

Quarantine together?
"Can families traveling together stay in the same room/hotel?

Hotels allow a maximum of 2 persons staying in one room. Children may or may not be counted depending on the hotel’s policy. We suggest checking with these hotels directly."

Transportation from airport/quarantine hotel to home?
"20. Once you are cleared, you may contact your relatives to pick you up and bring you home.

For Land-Based OFWs, you may coordinate with OWWA or use the OWWA Uwian Na portal (link: https://uwianna.owwa.gov.ph/ ) for further transportation needs after your final point of arrival.
For Sea-Based OFWs, you may coordinate with your Local Manning Agency (LMA) for further transportation needs after your final point of arrival.

21. Once at home, please complete your 14-day quarantine/self-isolation."
