SRRV visa holders are entitled to PHILHEALTH benefits & privileges. I have not done enough research into what exactly is covered nor the premiums that need to be paid.

However on Aug 26th 2020 a new Senior Citizen Act was passed.
Under the Expanded Senior Citizen Act or RA 10645, all senior *citizens aged 60 and above automatically become PhilHealth members even if they didn't pay for monthly contributions. Like lifetime members, non-paying senior citizens get a free lifetime coverage premium.

Would be great if SRRV holders are entitled to the same.

Even if you do manage to get a plan, the premium will probably be insanely high as they will consider you as category "high risk", it's probably not going to be worth it as saving your money and paying the actual bill is a better option.

Any agent that tells you otherwise and willing to sell you insurance is either - 1) just trying to take your money or - 2) feeding you only what you want to hear & last not least, 3) The fine print will contradict everything they say.

Stay healthy, do exercise, Prevention is better than cure.

If you are still on Medicare from the states you are covered by Medicare if you return to the states.
