Hi guys,

I've received a proposal of moving abroad to work in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

I have 3 years+ of experience in BI and scripting/front-end development and I received an offer for 4500€/month (gross).

What is your opinion? Honestly I thought it was a bit of a low salary considering the cost of life.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

That salary in the Netherlands is liveable, but in the scheme of things, if you're already doing OK, why go through the hassle of moving.

However, to answer your question, I took a quick look around the job adverts and to be honest, it does seem a bit cheap.  My advice is that unless you're desperate to get out of the UK, or if you really fancy a change, go back and say you're interested, but not for that money, see what they say.  As they say in Holland, you have no, you may get yes. - you have nothing to lose.

Hope this helps.

Hi Cynic,

Thank you so much for replying so quickly, it really helps me.
I would save more or less the same amount but I would be alone, so it wouldn't be worth it indeed!

I will definitely ask for a higher salary, thank you so much, it means a lot!

Stay safe
