Dependent Pass for New Born in Singapore

Post new topic

Jaketyler436

Hi,
My wife and myself are in EP. Our total house hold income is around 9k. Individually we earn around 4.5 k but as per MOM 6k per month (individual salary) is the requirement . Is it possible to get dependent Pass for my new born baby?. Due to Covid restrictions, it won't be easier to travel to and fro with the baby as it is highly risky. Is there anyone recently in similar kind of situation?. It would be helpful if ICA /MOM permits my new born to stay with us for 6-8 months atleast. Is it possible to apply for LTVP for the new born with help of a singaporean sponsorship?

Anyone kindly help with some advise.

Are you on EP or SP at 4.5k salary? Yea dependant pass is minimum 6k individual, sadly. That’s one of the reasons why we can’t have a baby yet 😢 im spass at 5.3k and same salary with husband

There is no chance to get a DP without fulfilling the requirements.
If the baby is born in Singapore, the authorities will certainly give it a visa (most likely SVP) for the initial time - but this is not a long-term solution.
I am not sure if it is possible to get a DP with a Singaporean sponsor - but why would any Singaporean give you the shortfall (S$1.5k/month)???

In this case, due to travel restrictions and current situation, you should request ICA to provide SVP (for 3 months) subject to extend in future.

Singaporean can’t sponsor LTVP for your child. You can only apply DP once either of your individual basic salary is above $6k (at present this is the eligibility but we never know it may increase looking at the current situation). Good luck

Thank you.
