Temporary Storage?

Whenever travel resumes, I plan to travel to the PI to live full time. I will be bringing two suitcases up to 50 lbs each, which I am allowed to do, but when I arrive, I plan to spend a month or more travelling around the PI to decide where I would like to live.
I only want to carry a minimum while travelling. So, the question is what to do with the two suitcases? Any suggestions for safe, temporary storage?
Sure, I don't have to bring them, but the price is already included in my ticket, and I will need them in the future. Also, if I wait to ship them, it would take a couple of months more to get to me.
Thanks
You can rent a place in main city and you can come back anytime whenever you wanted . In here there is no storage for rent at all . While also it make sense if got a car rental with you . You can take all your staff .
Here are 7 Google each one for location. Kahon Safehouse Keepr Storage Mart Loc& Stor 24/7 Storage Space Philipines and Secure Storage Services
Rent a vehicle fm the airport & carry your luggage with you.

Good call manwonder but it sounds like the OP wants to travel light by the sound of it, buses etc. Perhaps he can chime in?
I would never rent a car again from the airport, expensive, problems. We have done that twice 6/7 years ago and never again, same issues with both companies,,,,,, scamming.
The better half found a private company on FB based in Cavite, PHP 5K bond, about 30K a month rental on a mid sized car, always 1 to 3 years old, free delivery and pick up to our hotel in Pasay (jump off point for the airport). We have used this company 5 or 6 times now, last time when we moved here 2 years ago and rented for 3 months at 28K per month, always our bond returned in cash and Ben gives the driver 200 Pesos for food and travel each way not required but a great gesture.
As for storage perhaps cltisdale can elaborate on costs and availability and location or simply post the links for the OP. Well sourced though and perhaps suitable.
Cheers, Steve.
Have you ever been here?

Me? I live here. Or perhaps you should quote or direct your question/s to the members concerned .

Before covid and before I had decided where to settle at Palawan, I thougt of renting a studio type ROOM in a guesthouse type so theyy keep an eeye on things a bit where I could put my stuff as well a sleep when I land and pass Puerto Princesa City. Cost 3000 pesos per MONTH saving hotel room costs too
(None other biger island left to chose from than Palawan when I had seen historic earthquake maps And if avoid city and tourit places, its cheaper there too.

Perhaps as suggested you should direct your questions to the member you are talking to instead of following on from my submission or others so we are all on the same page?

And when you are writing a letter or flicking an email it's addressed to whom? While we can all surmise, wars and travesties have been created from miscommunication. You are not talking to your mate in the pub. This is an open forum and needs to be addressed correctly and definitely relative to the answer you give. Not simply I have a car or the weather is hot posted at?????

You can always get your own modified multicab & live/drive anywhere you desire.

Those multicabs are a rip off. They are basically salvaged vehicles with 100 of thousands of KM on the engine. They're chopped up, sent to the Phils and reassembled. Then they move the steering etc to the left and paint it likes its new.
Buy an older used Toyota or Honda instead. At least you'll get a vehicle with a strong engine and decent amount of HP, and probably less mileage.

Yes, but I dont want to store my things or sleep in a multicab any often
Yes, I have travelled to the PI three times--1999, 2005, and 2010. I lived in Olongapo, Dumaguete, and Angeles for a total of over 5 years.
I left in 2011 and plan to return when able to to live full time.
Renting a car is not an option since I will be travelling for 4-6 weeks to different islands checking out places to live, and I want to travel light--backpack and that is about it.
Just trying to see if anyone had suggestions for a way/place to store two suitcases.

Search on Google "storage spaces for rent philippines". Expat member citisdale found 7. Perhaps contact the storage space service companies before coming here to make sure you already have a unit ready / reserved. Ask if they require a minimum number of months.
I would suggest against renting an apartment (especially if you will be away for many days) or a vehicle just to store your stuff due to the possibility of losing them due to break-ins.

You mentioned you only wanted the minimum while traveling, I think you could pack the minimum and a little extra into one bag. Is it really necessary to bring two bags (Total 100 lbs /45 kilograms) for a month or two?
Once you get here you won't be traveling with just your clothes on your back and will need a bag anyways. So why worry about storing the second bag?
Perhaps Bob you should read the OP's thread properly, He plans to live here, not a holiday and given his luggage allowance on the flight will bring the max. Been there etc. like most. He is looking for somewhere/somehow to store excess while investigating.
To the OP, I have arrived in Manila to our regular hotel, stayed a couple of nights, put excess luggage with the concierge, come back a week later stayed another night and then left with all luggage to the next major stop. Ditto with the next hotel, yes sir that's fine. Just a thought but I would only do that in 4/5 star hotels.
Any derogatory or vulgar remarks Bob? Uncalled for jokes? Retaliations or excuses? Time to let the car idle then gun it with bigger fish to fry.
OMO.
Cheers, Steve.

Well I was thinking since the OP said he was Planning to travel to the PI to live full time.
He didn't say I was moving to PI to live full time. The key word is planning, I don't think he would move to the FI with two suitcases and leave everything behind back into the states.
He further said "Sure, I don't have to bring them, but the price is already included in my ticket.
So to quote you Any derogatory or vulgar remarks Bob? Uncalled for jokes, Retaliations or excuses? Time to let the car idle then gun it with bigger fish to fry.
bigpearl, I was merely suggesting a solution to the OP, as he was asking for suggestions. It's time for you to let go.
Cheers
(omo) The only extra luggage I would bring here (if allowed) would be one filled with extra cash$$$....All the rest I'd be able to shop around & get what I want.
What you DON'T want is having to live/travel here without sufficient cash/disposable income in that search for your fffŕrreeeesdddooommmm.

Twist, turn and squirm as much as you like, as you do, your profession? Sounds like a former President. Perhaps the OP can clarify his intentions as we seem to be guessing.

But "live ful time" and "moving" mean SAME
He has to travel to get to Phils plus he plan to travel around in Phils to decide WHERE to move.
Planning is NOT a key word, it just mean he aim at doing it and have made plans for it.
For bigPearl:
I was wondering about leaving them at the first hotel I stay at, and pick them up when I return, but I was unsure how safe that would be.
As you suggested, perhaps at the better hotels it would be okay.
You didn't mention, but was there a charge for leaving them?
BTW, what did you leave?
Thanks,
Dan
PS
If I wasn't clear in my post, I am planning to live in the PI full time, and that is why I want to take 4-6 weeks to look around before I decide where.
