Every resident in Ward 15 in Phu Nhuan has received their 2nd dose, making it an official "Clean Ward." What that means is no entry no exit. My great-niece said she's the only person in the neighbourhood who can, only because she's a member of a district volunteer team.
My 76 year old niece in Go Vap received her first dose of Pfizer yesterday and reported back that she has no side effect.
Unconfirmed: the nurses at the vaccination sites in Phu Nhuan and Go Vap said elderlies (over 65) are to be vaccinated with Pfizer.

Phu Nhuan has things done more quickly than other districts because the head of the district pushed for it.

50plus
I received jab yesterday in D2 for 50 group. It was crowded, and I wondered during waiting how likely of getting the virus while getting vaccinated. After prep I asked which vaccine, they told me AZ and Moderna. I asked for Moderna and got. Now I am thinking a second dose of moderna may be more difficult to get in 28 days than an AZ in 8 weeks.

I have a toastie maker bought on Shopee 2 years ago for about 15usd as I remember & still going strong, but best for toast is just do it under the oven grill. Please wait before buying the toaster to see if the bread is to your taste. Remember one mans meat is another mans poison. The small one is the one I have for toasties & the 4 slicer is what you might like.
As for BBC & CNN totally agree but its for venting my anger I watch them. BBC days long gone where when I first started worked overseas in the 70's I would listen to the BBC world service as did many others & got as near the truth as possible. Now its just a bunch of Liberal minded crap.

you could always go for the combo option.....Moderna, then Astra then booster of what ever is up for grabs at that time........................sorted!
Not sure if this works
Latest vaccine numbers HCMC
[img align=Covid info HCMC districts][link under review]
If i linked properly? It should ahow latest numbers for each district.
Working out how to share photo without having to give permission? If any one knows let me know,, i put it on google drive would be more useful if showed photo live on post.
The chart shows HCMC district info in rows across to the columns are
How many in district
How many F0 case
How % F0
How many people vaccine
How many % vaccinations
Maybe can mix when second dose is due. They told me when i was choosing between vaccines that only Pfizer could be mixed with AZ in Vietnam. Moderna is MRNA technology too, so maybe it’s a gov approval thing. The science on mixing is still evolving.

I personally like to post a photo & like to see other peoples photos, I personally think it can add good value to a post & sometimes easier to explain with a photo.
I downloaded an app called "postimages" then copy the URL (think that's what its called) & paste it to my post. I have been criticised in the past because sometimes & I don't know why it has adverts attached to the link but recently its been OK.
Tip 1.............. To avoid it going "link under review" for some reason leave a big gap between your written post & the pasted link.
Tip 2...............Avoid going back to your post to edit, sometimes but not always it will go "link under review" if you do.

Having had a commodore 64, amiga 500, 2000, 4000 win 3.1, win 95, 98, xp, win 7, win 10 and cant recall EVER buying software I totally agree with you .
I was just pointing out to those who usually pay for everything there is another OS that is just as easy and has everything you need unless you run some obscure software that is wiindows only.

OS =operating system... Or windows.
Yeah windows update.. sigh.. adding the ability to slow you down or just stop things working. You can turn these off

I had my own computer business in Australia,,,, windows updates give you a generic file to update things like video cards and sound cards,,, only thing is that laptops usually have their own custom cit down or custom made sound and graphics so the generic updates over write the origional files and stuff things up,, "I made a a good % of my money from calls of someone with a laptop that just updated and now goes crazy"
Before everyone screams "hey boomer" OS = operating system haha
My nephew (64) had his second shot today in Saigon. He was offered the choice of AstraZeneca or Pfizer. Since his first shot was AZ, he selected the same.

Seems to depend where you are & possibly what day. We were not given a choice & I was quite happy to have the Astra & Ms My had the same. A friend of hers called today to say she had the Moderna yesterday & felt a little bit off & had tingling sensation in both legs for about 24 hours & after a sleep she felt fine.

Can attest to that.. An Phu committee is terrible.
Here we register many times and still waiting, today a management tell residents in one block to report for vaccine.. so they go, get there and are locked out because they have run out of vaccine doses... Fair enough until the reason for the shortage is another residence nearby contact and offer to pay 200k per resident for the vaccine.. and committee officer or at least person in charge agree

As far as I am aware of is that the 200k was for private service meaning they come and vaccinate you at your place and monitoring you for half an hour for side effects then prepare and issue official paperwork. And not necessarily 200k to buy the vaccines. Vaccines are still being pre-allotted by local officials based on registration.
I know a local celebrity signed up for this service days before and received a confirmation for home vaccination.

Hmm seems odd then that those scheduled to go from here were told no vaccine available followed by gates being closed.
Whatever happens will happen I guess..
