Olá! I'm Nakita. Just moved a week ago to Leiria (my husband is from this region). I'm very interested in getting involved in the theatre/film community. Anyone know how best to do that? Before the pandemic shut everything down I had been acting in San Diego, and taking voice lessons to learn opera techniques. I'd really like to continue pursuing performance arts here.

Anyone know how long it's been taking to hear back about citizenship? We submitted our paperwork back in June/July. It was near impossible to get in touch with anyone from back in the states, but we're not exactly having an easier time finding out information here either.

Most important question: where can I get ingredients for Korean cuisine? I'm part Korean and grew up in a very Korean home. I didn't have enough luggage space to bring all the usual ingredients with me and the grocery markets in our area don't have everything I need. I saw that there's an Asian market in Lisbon. Anyone know how much variety they have?

Hopefully you will have the answers to your questions very soon.

Hi Nakita, Welcome :)

In the area where you live, I suggest you to get in touch with Luis Peças. No one like him can guide you in this art near where you live. He is a well known portuguese lyric singer and usually performs at the Alcobaça Monastery.

There is also another lyric singer João Paulo Ferreira. They are both countertenors.
There are many videos of them on youtube, such as:
