Time taken to approve EP for someone outside Singapore

Post new topic

K5912

Hi,
My EP was applied by my recruiter in April this year 2021. I am currently outside Singapore and venturing job for the first time here. However, till date the application status is same as 'Pending'. Is MOM currently issuing EP for my category? It is very frustrating as there is no update and the recruiter also replying that they are clueless. Is it worth waiting or should I consider this as a negative case.
Can anyone provide any insight?

This is not a normal processing time. Your employer should contact MoM to find out what is causing this delay and whether anything could be done to speed it up!

K5912: Hi, I’m also currently waiting for my EP since April 2021. My first EP was approved but there was a mistake with regards to my university details on my IPA. MoM requested a fresh application in April and I’ve been waiting for a response since. It has been “pending” similar to yours

Hello Guestexpat1234,
Is this your first time also? Was any reason sited by your employer? It's a general idea we got that covid situation has slowed up everything.

Yes, it’s my first time. No, my HR also did not receive any specific explanations to justify this abnormal processing time from MoM.

Hi Beppi,
Providing some more information about my candidature.
1. I am in my 40s holding Indian passport but resident visa holder of UAE for past decade
2. I have 18+ years experience in Telecom industry.
3. My salary offered for the new job role is SGD 10k+
4. My recruitment is not on direct payroll but through a manpower supply agency.
Considering above facts, in your opinion, do you think the delay in EP processing is abnormal?
