Does anybody know how to unlock my Vodafone phone for the SIM?
Have been trying to do it via a UK company but they are a total waste of time and money
and have been asking for over 90 euros just to unlock the phone, after a so called engineer spent three days running some kind of check, before deciding to try and charge such an amount, scammers dont use them! In the past i have managed to get an unlock code for free for a swiss phone, but i need to do it for my Vodafone phone.

If anyone knows a way to do it please let me know.

Thanks.

Hello,

the cheapest and safest place I found to be using ebay. Just enter the phone model number and the network it is locked to. I cost me around £10 to unlock my O2 LG phone.

if the phone was bought in UK and after December 2021, then according to Ofcom,  Vodafone should unlock free of charge. There is the link:

Yes I can advise, unfortunately the news may not be good for you!
I had exactly the same problem, and (if you are outside Portugal), forget it!

However, when you are in Portugal, go to a proper Vodaphone office, (some are just franchised distributors), and get the supervisor (or office manager) to get on with it. The challenge is avoiding the very friendly junior staff, who are very nice - and most of them are in Portugal - but get someone who is serious, understands the system and has access and authority on system.

You need to be insistent - do not leave without a resolution - and wait as long as it takes.

Since doing this - full, easy and efficient international access. But make sure you have everything needed - Bank details, credit/debit cards, NIF, passport documentation, lease/property address, etc.

Hope this helps?
