Business in Singapore /Expats

Hi All,

We have been dealing with a company

XXXX in Singapore.

The CEO Mr YYYY (British Citizen)

We brought buyer and seller together for a commercial deal.

Deal was concluded end May 2023.

To date above company Northernray and CEO Mr YYYY has not paid the parties involved. We all have signed fee agreements.

What is the best way to report above business and individual to all business and forum groups.

I have removed the names of company and owner in your post above, because we have no way of verifying what you say - and it could be slanderous if untrue.

If you had a commercial contract with this company and they did not fulfill their part of it (payment), then this is a matter for the courts. You should consult your lawyer, not an Internet forum!

Thank you. Definitely true but I get what you say.

Tough to chase money in SNG when all the parties he owes money stay in other parts of the world and will cost a fortune and take forever to get this sorted.

Appreciate

@silverskydistribution Yes, it is much more costly and risky to pursue legal cases abroad.

Many businesses prefer local partners - and in international contracts at least state that their own country's jurisdiction applies. You are currently learning why! Maybe it is better to write this debt off and put it under "lessons learned"?

The problem is he was the local partner. Yet he still maintains "it will be paid blah blah"

Thanks Beppi
