Visa D Historical Conviction

Post new topic

pm1329

Hi,

We have applied for our Visa D & my husband has a historical conviction for drink driving from 2009. As per UK law, this conviction is no longer relevant & doesn't show on any checks.

However, the police check we submitted indicates there was a historical conviction & asked for details.

We've since been informed by the company helping us that they've previously had Visa D refused for a speeding offence.

Does anyone have any experience of being in this situation & what the outcome was?

I'm so worried he's going to have his Visa D refused despite the fact that in UK law, this offence no longer appears on criminal records checks or has to be disclosed.

TIA
