Post new topic

Hi everyone,

I’m Eric, currently living in LA but thinking of moving to PV.  I’m having a hard time choosing between a buying a preconstruction condo or an existing one. Hoping some of you might share your experience or any insights. Thanks all!

Better to just rent! Cheaper!

Glad yr getting outta that terrible LA!!

I have some contacts tho, so let's keeps in touch. Landlords are starting to sell their individual apartments at great deals, like a lil over 100,000

I'm from LA also and living 50% of the year in PV. We've purchased both pre-construction and resale, and were fine on both. For pre-construction, I would just recommend choosing a well established, reputable builder. We used a real estate attorney in addition to the real estate agents, that was very helpful. Welcome to PV!

@OutAndAboutVillas  thank you! I’m looking at both.  Happy to hear the 50/50 split is working out for you.

I recommend against pre-construction

purchases in Latin America.

I bought a condo in 2005 in a

pre-construction deal and came to

regret the fact that various delays

put off the occupancy date until

mid-2013.

By the way, I agree with the

poster above who recommended

renting, not buying.
