Family immigration waiting time

Post new topic

Keyla0000

Hello everyone.

i have applied for family immigration in june 2024.

i live in Uganda, my husband is a norwegian and we have a 1 year old child who already has the citizenship, she got her passeport in june.

i would like to know for how long i will be waiting because i tried to ask from UDI but it seems like the waiting time is not accurate.

Best regards!

they don't seem to know themselves how long the wait time is, based on this: https://udi.no/en/word-definitions/waitingtime/

However, if you tried to contact them in July and didn't get through, you may have a better chance now, as many Norwegian offices are on holiday in July

@ECS thank you. but can the fact that both my husband and my baby have norwegian citizenship shorten my waiting time??

ECS

the waiting time guide states they're processing family immigration cases for people who applied in April this year, so you're likely in that queue. Based on this it's a guess when you'll be processed but it is unlikely to be September at this rate.
