LOOKING FOR A 20 FT CONTAINER

Post new topic

I'm looking around for a 20 ft container for my property here in Moca. I found RAVA Group in SD that sell & transport for about $2600 USD. Wondering if anyone has any other suggestions? Thanks

That is actually a decent price for here

Thanks very much - with nothing to go on, just trying to be diligent!!

Just a word of advise on the price quote ensure you read and understand all the fine print.

Examples; does that price include load and unload container?

Does it include delivery from port to destination and unload?

Gas, labor, miles, etc

Just you have everything in writing and on signed contract,

Do not just take them verbally

Known for bait and switch!

Hi, I'd love to know more about container shipment - I'm thinking of sending furniture and appliances for 2 apartments under construction. We have a lot of stuff in storage in the northeast US that we'd like to use especially since there is so little good affordable and vintage mid century furniture in the DR. Do you have a contact at RAVA Group whom can advise on taxes and duty on used furniture and appliances versus new? Thanks

RAVA group is local and they are not importers.  Do a thread search as this is a different topic.

That’s an excellent price for a 20 foot, just inspect it first and make sure the floor isn’t rotted away…. Remember they’re used on ships…. Salt air does tremendous amounts of damage…. Good luck 👍

I found another supplier of containers. EVERGREEN of Atlanta. On a whim, I asked how much & to my surprise they stated theynot only ship to the DR but the delivered price will be almost $800 less than the DR RAVA Group. After their replies, I googled them & they are well known business. AS much as I prefer doing business with local or DR companies, that is quite a difference. I will see what or if RAVA will match the price...
