How long for police to verify your address? 1000 - Brussels

I'm new in Brussels with my wife. We have already been to the commune for her registration, and she has received annex 19.

Now we are waiting for the police to come here and confirm that she lives at the address. However, it has already been 2 weeks since our appointment at the commune, and we haven't heard from the police.

We live in the 1000 Brussels commune. Does anyone have recent experience to share? I feel like this commune might take longer with some processes.

Hello,

I am living in Brussels and it took almost a month for my address to get verified, but the thing is I had a problem with the gate bell and I didn’t notice it until I called the commune and asked them to direct me to the police officer of my neighbourhood. He told me that he had come before, I think it was 3 weeks since I had started the process, but the thing is you have to be at home when he comes, also he doesn’t call on the phone to tell the exact time when he comes. Maybe you can try calling him (or the commune) and ask for the interval of time for the day he may pass by (which I did but he told me he would pass on a Sunday from 8 am to 16:00 and I had to wait for him at the gate of the residency for the whole day in the cold because the bell was still broken, I hope it wouldn’t be the case for you!)
