hi all

I am trying to get health ibsurnace for me and my family, all the companies I looked at are very expensive and do not let you pay monthly which i would like to do.

please help

Hi Sharron,

welcome to the forum.

Private healthcare in Malta is generally fairly cheap compared to other EU countries.

Being from the UK you should check your options for free health care entitlement in Malta. You should be entitled , at least for a limited period,if you were entitled in the UK.

Insurances in Malta are generally paid on a yearly basis. I don't think you will get around that if you opt for private coverage. To apply for residency you will need to show your health care coverage one way or the other.

If you take up work you should qualify for free health care through contributions to the National Insurance in Malta.
