Hi All,

I was just wondering if it is generally easy to get taxis late at night in Mauritius. More specifically after a night out in Flic en Flac would it be relatively easy to get a taxi to Tamarin?

If anyone has a rough estimated cost for such a trip that would be fantastic.

Thanks!

So was the total for a 11 minute journey 1000 or 2000 rupees?

I prefer that you take a taxi guys number during the day and bargain with him the rates before he picks you up. I know a taxi diver who works during nights in Flic and Flac and very reliable . I could PM you his contact number if you wish.

Cheers
Terence

Hey,

Has anyone more information to add to this topic? Paying 1500 rupees sounds a bit expensive for a 10-15 minute taxi journey?

Expensive.

For what it's worth, I pay Rs 1000 from the Airport to Quatre Bornes.
