Hi Everybody!
I would love to find out if I will be able to buy these brands of cat food in Istanbul:
Fancy Feast by Purina
Mon Petit by Purina also.
Royal Canin dry food.
Fresh chicken and beef would be available for sure.
Anyone  a cat lover? What do you feed your cat?

Moving to Istanbul next year in July with two cats!!!
Can hardly wait to be back on that side of the world!!

Cheers to All!

They have Royal Canin dry food but they do not have Fancy Feast which probably means that they do not have the other Purina product you listed. I brought two cats here with me from the states also. I feed them dry whiskas and raw meats. Cat food is actually quite pricey here. Have you been here before? Istanbul has many street cats and dogs which is quite heartbreaking especially during the winter. Just thought i would mention it just in case you were not aware of it. I found it quite shocking. I have actually picked up a third recently because I figured the little girl would die if she had to go it alone this winter. Good luck with your move.

Thank you for your reply. One of our cats will not touch dry food
unusual as the cats here mainly feed on dry and nothing else.
Maybe if he is hungry enough he will get use to it, will save the vet fee for teeth cleaning. Yes we know about the street cats, we fed them every day, they were not fussy. We have not seen any dogs.  Moving will be easy, only taking clothing kitchen stuff, linen, etc. no furniture. The cats are the only worry, thirteen hours on the plane!  Did you use cat movers? A lot of paper work!

Our cats traveled as cargo on our plane. We were also traveling with a three month old baby so we thought it would be too hard to have them in the cabin.  However, our cats are pretty cool and not easily upset.  Flying from California was 17 hours so they were pretty hungry but other than that they were fine. There wasn't really much paper work either. The vet filled out forms which we downloaded and then we express mailed them to the USDA five days before and they express mailed them back to us. If I remember correctly all Turkey required was a health report, rabies vac, and microchipping. We picked up our two boys right along with our luggage and took them home :)

Thank you. We did nor know  and  our cat carrier did not know either that we have to microchip the cats.
How did the baby take the travel? How did you manage the descend?
Poor things usually get very sore ears.Seventeen hours??? I thought thirteen is toooooooooooo long. Mind you when we went to NY from Australia it took us 34 hours all together but we were younger than!
Thanks again for your answers. wish you a very happy life!
