Doing business in Indonesia

Post new topic

Julien

Hi,

are foreign investors welcome in Indonesia?

Is it complicated to register a company in Indonesia? What is the procedure?

What is the corporate tax rate in Indonesia?

Is it easy to recruit?

Any advice you would share with us?

Thank you very much for your participation,

Julien

Julien see link below with a document prepared by the World Bank that provides the information you need. It is a difficult environment to navigate but there are agents who I am sure would be happy to help you. Just ensure you keep your finger on the pulse of all your activities.

Hi Julian,

It's a little bit complicated to set a new Company here in Indonesia but if you could find a local Company partner it would be easier in legal sector.

Company tax in Indonesia is 20%

What business sector are you working on?

Cheers,
D.M

Last time, my boss made a company with a foreigner
For the cost is depend what kind of your business, they have the rate for every kind of business
Should be Indonesian who the one have the bigger share than foreigner by percentage holding
Included in one of the requirements is the amount of authorized capital and paid up Capital (in USD $)
We call PMA - Penanaman Modal Asing
The progress will take 2 until 3 months

If you use the agent in here, maybe will be cost around IDR15 - 20 Million or USD1,6589 - USD2,212

Hopefully my all information still up to date

Good luck

Hi Julian,

Its not difficult to invest here, if you have local / domestic partner, maximum share : 80% (expat) vs 20% (local), tax company = 20%, for foreigner/personal tax = 5 - 10% if you stayed here more than 6 months, its easy for recruitment of staff also
Good luck ya
