Anyone doing that? What's the average time you need from Bahrain to Khobar? Do you loose lots of time on the border?
I'm coming to Al Khobar to work for 3 months initially, maybe stain more. I don't have allowance for hosing, so need to find it myself, but have hard time renting it for 3 months (everyone is asking for a year lease). Maybe Bahrain is different. What's the difference in cost of living in those two places, which one is more expensive?

Hi Flying Circus and welcome to the forum,

Renting for a few month isn't easy, except in hotels.
Many of them in Bahrain are offering Studios or Junior Suites with one BR, kitchen and bathroom. The driving time can vary a lot as the passage of the bridge can sometimes be very long.
I think it'll take about an hour on average.

Cheers

Olivier

Hi flying_circus,
I'm sure there are people who work in SA, live in Bahrain and do the daily commute to work. I know the causeway does get busy at the start of the weekend arriving in Bahrain, so it may possibly take you slightly longer on these days. I hope someone out there has more of an idea and will give you the answers you're looking for.
Good luck.
Jaz

Thank you guys. Just got email from my company saying they'll help me find an apartment in Khobar. So for now I'll be in Khobar.
