Hi all Im a 34 year old mum of one and married.  Were all thinking of moving to Vietnam District 2 later this year (after living in district 2 for 2 months last year).
Im a Uk Police officer (on a career break) I have a 2:1 degree in Criminology.  I have worked in a residential school for children with Autism and also worked in a private day nursery.

Im contemplating startung a PGCE or teacher assistant course prior to re-locating in Saigon.  I ideally would like to gain employment within one of the international schools that would also allow me to have holidays etc with my son (almost 4).

If anyone has any advice on what would be the best route to undertake and the possibilities of working within one of the international schools.  Im willing to try my hand at most things.

many thanks

Hi Hannah, you don't need the PGCE for working here. It won't hurt but it's not needed.
What you will need is Celta\Tefl certification of some sort. You would need this even if you were a teacher i the UK now.
Get that out the way and with your degree & experience you should have no problems getting a job with one of the international schools.
You can always do the PGCE later (or before) if you want it for the UK.
