Returning home for the first time. Ah!

Hello fellow expats-

I've been living in China for nearly 2 years.  I'm leaving to go home for a couple months and I'm getting very overwhelmed by it all of a sudden.  There's going to be so many people to see and so many questions to answer.  I'm not sure I'll want to talk about my Chinese life - no one will really understand.  I'll be staying in the tiny room I grew up in and that's really not appealing after living in my own apartment. I've lived at home before but usually not for more than a month at a time and definitely not after returning from China.

Just wondering if someone has a story to share or any advice to give about returning home.

Thanks!
Joy

Hi Joy,
Just be easy on yourself. :) You may experience some reverse culture shock. This is normal. Just focus on relaxing, getting together with folks that you haven't seen in
awhile,etc. Have fun!!

Take care,
Larry
