Some Questions on Gibraltar

Post new topic

Katzi

Hi everyone, considering moving to Gibraltar and have some questions:

I am an EU citizen (not British or Spanish though). Can I get a driving license in Gibraltar, or in Spain? Which would be the better place to get it in?

Is it possible to live in Spain rather than Gibraltar, but work in Gibraltar and commute WITHOUT having a car - i.e. what is public transport like?

What's the rent for a 1-2 bedroom NICE flat in Gibraltar vs Spain (commutable to Gibraltar)?

Is there any good protestant bible oriented church in Gibraltar with nice social life to go with it...

Hope you can answer any or all of the questions!

Hi

To get a driving licence in either country you have to be resident, however it is much cheaper to take a driving test in Gibraltar.

Yes it is possible to commute from Spain to Gib, but most people who do so live close to the frontier so no transport needed or have their own transport or share. Public transport once you live any distance from the frontier is infrequent.

Rent is much more expensive in Gib, typically from £1000/month upwards for 2 bed, but balance this against travelling time and cost.

There is a wide variety of religion in Gib.
