Hi, my wife and I have arrived in Malta and now we're trying to get the ball rolling with our health cover and then our residence.

I have a quick question to ask regarding returning our RHA application forms.  Can anyone tell me more about the process?  We'd like to return them in person with our personal documents this week.  Is that the standard procedure here for the Health Office?

Any guidance is much appreciated by the both of us.

Thank you,

If returning by post then certified copies are acceptable.
If not, attend in person but you will have to provide copies for them to check.

See extract from application form.....

Enclosed please find: (duly authenticated if application is submitted by post)
  copy of UK passport
and
  copy of residence certificate/permit*

*Persons who are not yet in possession of a residence certificate/permit may still apply for this scheme
but will be covered on a provisional basis.

Instructions:

· Applications may be handed in personally or by post provided accompanying documents are duly authenticated.

it is the norm to hand the forms and supporting docs id cards passports in to the office in person....and its very quick..they will give you a temp certificate and then a month or two ,later you receive the proper one.

Thanks rooikat for their opening times.  It's appreciated!  We were a bit under the weather the last two days so we never made it out in the end.  We hope to get this started today.
