Qualifications needed to teach English in Universities and colleges

Hi Guys ,

I have just received a communication from someone in Vietnam offering me work teaching English to underprivileged kids in central Vietnam, but the money isn't fantastic and is only $10/hr, approximately $500 or 700/month with or without accommodation.

With this info came a comment that "If I had a proper certificate of teaching, I can also apply for teaching at the university and colleges".

Does any one know if a BSc and a TEFL teaching certificate is adequate to enable the possibility of teaching English in a University in Vietnam?

Yes it is ... at the moment.

A new law is coming into play November 1st but I am unsure whether this really effects English teachers because foreign teachers are in high demand.
