I realized that in the case of an emergency I have no idea who/how to call.
I searched and found that the emergency number for Police, Fire and Ambulance is 999.
Forgive my ignorance, but I don't have a landline and am not sure how to dial this from a mobile.

Are any * or # keys needed from a mobile or is it just 999?

I don't want to just dial to try it out! And I don't want to be figuring it out if I ever needed.

You can just dial 999 from your mobile.

The main emergency number in Bahrain is 999. Just dial it from any phone - mobile or land.

The emergency number for traffic department and accidents is 199, though these can be reported on 999 also.
