Investment license for residency

Post new topic

smellymoo

I have been trying to find out more information on what I actually need to do and what paperwork I need to start a business to get residency. But everywhere gives me different info, and 90+% of is clearly black market, which I don't want, as I don't want to be kicked out of Vietnam.

I want to start a programming business, so there is no need for most pieces of paperwork.

basically:
1) I enter on a 3 month business visa, can get 1 extension of 1 month? (as I have heard so many different versions of this)
2) I get a investment license, what do I need for this?
3) I get a temporary residency permit, how quickly / easy is this? will it be done in the 3 month period?

Also how much does the investment license cost? do you get the money back if it fails?

If you appointment some Law Firm they will do everything within 1 month. Their fee is different depends firms and locations. For more details about your company and other certificates, just make an appointment with them and visit directly. So they can give you proper advise and you may choose your suitable package. They will not charge you until you get your documents.

oh, they won't charge until I have a valid Investment license... that is good :D.

How will I know which one to use? I guess that's up to me to figure out. it will be in Da Nang, so I guess you can't help me.

Yes.
That you should consult with a legal firm  :)
If you have some Vietnamese friends there, they can help.

No, you should definitely be able to get two three month extensions (up to 9 months total) without leaving the country. Business or no if you apply for a three month visa I believe they will always give you the "business" visa.
